All final grades are due to the Office of the Registrar 72 hours after the scheduled final exam date. If you receive an incomplete I grade in a course, it will lapse to a failing F grade based on the lapsing rule of the school you took the course through. If this happens you will see a No Record or NR on your transcript. Your course will count as credits attempted and impact academic progress evaluations used for financial aid eligibility. You cannot graduate with an NR grade on your record without a formal documented exception approved by the academic Dean.

Honor credits for each course are computed by multiplying the credit value of the course by the value i. Thus, a student completing 20 credits with 50 honor credits would have a grade point average of 2. The grade point average includes grades in all courses taken toward a particular program, whether or not they fulfill any program requirements. Courses offered in other divisions of NYU, taken at Stern with the approval of the program advising office, are included in the grade point average calculation, provided they earn the minimum grade required by the degree program.
Courses taken outside of NYU that have been approved for transfer credit purposes are not included in the grade point average.
